Privacy Policy
Last updated: 11 August 2026
1. Who we are
This site is operated by Cricklands Limited, trading as Showground Photography ("we", "us"). We are the data controller responsible for your personal data. You can contact us about privacy at photos@cricklands.com or by post at Showground Photography, David Broome Event Centre, Crick, Portskewett, NP26 5XP.
The platform is provided and maintained on our behalf by Springcode, who act as our data processor.
2. The information we collect
- Account details — your email address and a securely hashed password.
- Purchases & credits — your credit balance, purchase history, and the photos you unlock or order.
- Delivery address — collected only when you order a printed photo, to fulfil and post it.
- Payment details — card payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card details.
- Event photographs — we publish photographs taken at events, which may include images of you (see section 5).
- Technical data — a strictly necessary session cookie to keep you signed in (see our Cookie Policy).
3. How we use your information, and our lawful bases
- To provide your account, process purchases and deliver downloads/prints — performance of a contract.
- To send order confirmations, and (if you opt in) to tell you when photos from an event you followed are ready — contract and consent.
- To keep the service secure and prevent misuse — legitimate interests.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations — legal obligation.
4. Who we share it with
We share personal data only with providers who help us run the service, under appropriate agreements: Stripe (payments), Fasthosts (email delivery), and our hosting provider — photographs and data are stored on our own UK-based server. We do not sell your data.
5. Your image, and how to request removal of photos
Photographs are taken at public events. If you appear in a photograph and would like it removed, you have the right to ask us to do so. Please contact photos@cricklands.com with enough detail to identify the photos — for example the event, the date, and your rider/competitor number if you have one. We will locate the matching photographs, remove them, and confirm once done. Requests concerning children are prioritised.
6. How long we keep it
We keep account and purchase records for as long as your account is active and as required for tax/accounting. Event galleries are typically available for three months after the event, after which they may be retired; photographs are also removed earlier on valid request. Photos you have purchased remain in your account library.
7. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, contact photos@cricklands.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
8. Changes
We may update this policy; the "last updated" date above shows when. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
